Additionally, members are provided a customizable directory listing with both free and paid advertising opportunities through Mid America LGBT Chamber publications and events. The Mid-America LGBT Chamber offers multiple opportunities to network with other members and our corporate partners, including our monthly B2B Network and Coffee Connections networking events hosted by actual chamber members.

Gay & Lesbian Chamber announces new name
Although Washington, D. Baltimore is Maryland's largest city and located just 40 miles northeast of Washington. While the city is a worthwhile destination for any traveler for its long history and trendy neighborhoods, LGBT tourists will find Baltimore to be especially welcoming and open. It's the hometown of iconic gay filmmaker John Waters and his drag queen muse, Divine, and the Mount Vernon neighborhood is one of the longest-established gay districts in the country. If you're on the lookout for something different from the stereotypical gay bars, then this city will likely appeal to you. After just one night out in Baltimore , you'll quickly fall in love with its uniqueness and peculiarity.

More than 20, copies of the SOMA Directory will be printed and mailed to members, government officials and business executives throughout the year. Additional distribution comes from distribution points throughout the county as well as insertion in gift bags at major LGBTQ events. Also paramount to membership benefits are the many networking opportunities afforded members throughout the year. For example, five times per year, at member locations, the Chamber hosts popular panel discussions on current topics of relevance to the community and business.
